Cape Town December Holidays

13th December 2014

This was it.... we have been planing this holiday for months with our besties....finally we were leaving for the most beautiful part of South Africa, Cape Town!!

We were crazy enough to do the trip through the night with the idea not too miss a day, we drove through the night and arrived sunrise starting with the Karoo, what a pretty place,, this is where the "fynbos" started and I started with it reminds me of "Windpompe" and it really does...

I was looking at the road, scared of crashing lol

We finally arrived at my mother in law's house in Robertson Valley of the Cape, has to be my favourite place because of the Mountains, that's one thing about mountains, I LOVE them. Roberston is situated more "boland" of western Cape giving it a completely different weather, HOT weather which is very good for the wine, and little rain giving wine different flavours as they mostly get water from the "Brede Rivier" (River).

Here is the view from our house... you are super tired, but as Monique says, we all have FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) so you stay awake for as long as you can.

In No time the pool was up and we were swimming, doing nails and drinking wine of course!! lol

We did enjoy a lovely braai. an headed to bed early, but not as early as we thought, the sun goes down after 8!!! How cool is this?!

14th December 2014

The men decided to play a game of golf in the morning whilst me and my bestie we did out favourite Hot Chocolate date, and had some lovely cape breakfast. Everything is just so nice, atmosphere, scenery the whole feel.

My Beautiful friend! God bless us! Such an amazing friendship we have!

The small town view..

After the game of golf, we decided to do something different than the usual wine farms, we went to Wildebraam, this is a berry farm, it looks like vineyards but instead you are picking blackberries. We had so much fun eating them tooo..

Empty River...

Beautiful mountains..

Peek a booooo lol

The perfect shot..

After we picked and ate berries, we went for a tasting, the make Proudly South African Liqueurs.

All the liqueres they make...

After that we stopped at a farmstall and fed a Zebra...

The next day we decided to tour the whole Robertson Valley, we started of with Klipdrift, wich is our favourite South African Brand Brandy. The men did the whole tour through the factory whilst we quickly stopped over at spaces, its a bit girly and wanted to show my bestie what it is like, we had a coffee and enjoyed some cake.

We did join the men with their tasting and was awesome, especially the new "Coffee Brandy" Yum!!!

After this we stopped at Bon Courage, also one of my highly favourite wines, here they are very relaxed, we enjoy Gooseberry Bush, Blush, Mascadels, Hillside White, Andre's Flame....

After our tasting at Bon Courage we made a stop at springfield, it is the more expensive wines, but with a awesome wine farm, taste and twist to the labels.

We then stopped at Van Loveren, here we did wine tastings and ate at Christina's.

Here we started our wine tasting.. We did the meat one.

Outside Van Loveren..

After our Van Loveren experience, we made a stop at Excelsior, now I love this wine farm vibe, they have this small hut on a big dam, the hut has wooden floors, a bar and three barrels of red wine, merlot, cab and sirah. Here you get to make your own wine and bottle it yourself with your own label. This happened to be our exact one month anniversary since we have been married, and was so special to make a "one month anniversary bottle"...
