Christmas 2015 (last Christmas with father in law)

I'm We had our Christmas this year with Rc's dad, because of the circumstances this might be the last Christmas we have with him. 

Claudia did such an amazing job with decor and making the day special. 

The tables were laid out so beautiful and the food was amazing. I made the mussels that everyone enjoyed. 

I made the cheese platter and bread rolls too.

We made this lovely photo for everyone, wishing them a Happy Christmas. 

This year I wrapped all the small gifts in brown paper and instead of a name I just placed a photo of the person on. 

Tins with recipes and quotes, your name, sweets and cutlery.

Fathers and sons. 

I am sorry I did not take more photos. Was a bit busy with food and helping I totally didn't get the time. 

But it was such a special memorable day. 

One we always will keep close to our hearts.

Cocktail Date 18th December 2015

It was such a fun date, on the spur of the moment type of date, yes they the best ones. 

Quickly did I dress up and make myself look good for my husband, and we whisked away to have cocktails with a lovely dinner. Was so much fun!

My Desk redo

With my new challenge next year.... I can't mention anything yet as its not 100% gone through yet. Final arramgement must still be made before the big reveal. But In my heart I know what God have in store for me next year.

So with all my hard work and nights coming up I decided to redo our desk. 

I am so happy with the results. And that bible verse is going to stick by my side every night. 

"Commit your work to the Lord and your plans will succeed" Proverbs 16:3

My Cakes and Cupcakes.

The last three months i have been blessed with orders for cupcakes, they cane in non stop. Kept me wuite busy all this long hours. But I hope it was worth it every minute for my clients.

Cake for a fashion designer as well a bit if his mom that has passed on as a remembrance.

Then I made these beautiful cupcakes for a mother to bee party. With these little bees. 

They are so adorable! 

Then twice I made frozen cupcake dress cakes for two precious little girls. 

Then I made my best friends cupcakes for her Wedding. They all looked the same but had different fillings. There were 1. Plain Vanilla with Vanilla Icing

2. Lemon filling cupcakes with Vanilla Icing

3. Caramel filling capcakes with Chocolate Icing

4. Coffee Mocha cream filling with Chocolate Icing

5. Plain chocolate with Chocolate Icing. 

Lots of baking happened!

My Husband end of year function.

This was truly a lovely night out to Lombardy Estate hotel restaurant. A little hideaway in Pretoria but truly exclusive.

I must honestly say how proud I am of my husbands achievement and hard work throughout the year. I am proud to always being there standing by his side when he was putting in those long hours work. But was hard work paid off. 

I am so proud and so glad to have such a husband that can show such a good example to everyone and even his future kids. Thank you for the husband you are and always stay this way. Love you very much. 

What an awesome couple we are? Love what I see. So blessed!

My Birthday and Our first anniversary 14-15th November 2015

Hi everyone, ohh did we have a great time partying!

I had this idea in my head but really didn't know how I was going to do it with a budget, but somehow everything just got together nicely. We decided to stay home this year and have a close friend gathering rather than going on a trip, as this is our first big anniversary. totally a big deal.

I had this idea of white table cloths, white cloth roof, wooden trunk slices, party starting at sunset following to lots of candle lights and it worked out pretty well.

I decided to go for snacks, as I am the cook in the house, I dont want to be preparing food whilst guest is there and I wanted to be part of the party and not in the kitchen busy with food and snacks you can prepare before hand.

Everything turned out so well except for the fact there was too much food, but luckily I could send food home.

Moniques kitchen tea

This was such a special day planned! I had so many ideas it was hard to contain myself. But it was such a honour being a bridesmaid for my best friend.

So we struggled to get a venue but eventually found Jam and Daisy's which everyone agreed to even her mom. What a stunning place. We booked the garden for the kitchen tea. 

So before hand we decided to go a little vintage. I decided to make the cupcakes and tea bag cookies. 

Here were the most amazing cupcakes

A mixture of soft vintage and pastel colours. 

These were my tea bag cookies 

The tables were beautiful and all he colours with the venue came out perfectly. 

We had two games were wone we weighed the handbags and then writing date ideas on ice cream sticks.
