Finally got my dress!

This post is very late! But there isnt much to say yet about this dress as I cant reveal anything yet!

But would like to post the story. I was going to make a specific dress that I had in mind, but the lady that was suppose to make my dress was not coming to light! I am sorry but I cant work with people like that! But I think God had something else planned for me because nothing was working out with this lady. 

So my cuz that lives in Jhb told abot this bridal store and made an appointment for us. There I was with my mom and cuz looking at dresses! At first I was not impress. Like everything looked the same to me. I walked around and saw three dresses I like. The second one was similair to what I had in mind to make. 

But I tried on the first dress ( this lady tells me she had many brides buying thier first dress ) ( I was thinking, no I am not buying a dress today girl ) yeah huh. And there I was. This dress looks amazing completely the opposite to what I wanted. To be completely honest, I never thought this type of dress would look so wow on me!!! 

For an half an hour staring and talking about this dress. Plus taking photo's ( yes I have photo's but no not showing! )and my mom and cuz crying already and me  swallowing tears! (I dont know how on earth I am not going to cry on my wedding) 

We then tried the second dress that was similair to what I had in mind! Ugh no, I looked old! Like an old woman. It did not do. 

And this is where I realised how glad I was to fit in dresses ( I almost made a BIG mistake)

So I tried the third dress and wasn't so wow either and tried the first dress again. 

This time with random shoes just to check out my hight as I an very tall and this shoes suited my feet perfectly! My cuz brought them for me, such a special gift thanks Trace! 

And there we brought my dress!!! The one and only dress from Paris! If I may say so! :)) yes the store lady was also right!

To be honest I was relieved this part was done! Now I enjoy the rest of my wedding plans super much! And I am thankful for God for showing me another way! As  prayed  hard about this dress! 

Of course after the wedding you will see my dress! 

But thats all I can show for now! ❤️

I love my fiancé with all my heart and hope he finds me beautiful in this dress!

Save the dates!

Okay so I had my save the dates made and sent them out. 

I made my own save the date on the computer, I actually copied a design from   pinterest ( sorry but I dont know whose idea it originally was). I must say I didnt know what I wanted to do for save the dates. Then I finally chose this one for its simplicity. 

What I decided to do differently is print it on Magnets, so it could be stuck in the fridge as a reminder! It actually cost me R5.50 a magnet which was fairly a good price for me.  

I did a photo shoot before hand for this, but merely because it was a free voucher my mom has won. I am sure you can take your own beautiful photos at home. 

I made my own envelopes with an envelope maker that you use for scrapbooking. Got a heart stamp from a good friend Billy. And got grey ink to give a vintage feel. I wrote the names myself with a calligraphy pen. And voila! 

One thing I should have done that I regret, is to have writtten "invitations to follow". It looked like a lot, I mean A LOT of people didnt understand what a save the date was!!!! Like uhm...  But yeah dont assume because you know, they will know. 

I am definitely going to update a better picture of the save the date! :)

Veggie garden photos!

My fiancée and I love to Garden. We in fact love nature, anything to do outside we are there. Currently where we staying we dont have a "stoep" and miss it so much! But we still do have out little veggie garden. And keeps us busy outside! Out garden changes from time to time, with all the different seasons etc. 

I had a herb section which did not last long except for my basil growing out of control. My herbs are just never happy, and still havent figured out what we doing wrong! But will get there hopefully, because I love to cook fresh. Every night I will go out and pick fresh herbs and salad ingredients for salad out of the garden. 

Then the rest would be lettuce, which usually contains mixed lettuce. Then I would have an Onion section with different onions and spring onions. Then we have a pepper section with different peppers and peppadews even chillie's. 

Then we would have carrots or tomatoes to choose from. 

These are my photo collection ofmy garden  through out a whole year now.

I must personally admit we havent had much time this past month in the garden! We had been just to busy! After coming back from our week holiday I am going to pay more attention to my Garden.

How I asked my bridesmaids!

This one I did very special, I liked it. 

I brought gift bags that I filled with Sally Hansen cutex, buffer, cuticle sticks, nail file and chocolate. ( I am sad that I never took photos of it:((( ) 

I copies this from Pinterest and put it in their goodie bag. 

This was cute for me, and voila! I hopes they liked it!

Yes, after so many years I finally have my own car!

This year I finally managed to buy my own little car. And to be very honest, I love my little car, its big enough for me, it really has a lot of space, I could have a baby with this car, it big enough! It parks super easy and is super fast enough for me.

I am not one of those fancy people, maybe one day it will change, but I don't see in buying a big fancy car, I always think of fuel consumption, service cost and if something happens to a part or whatever else, how much will it cost.

So I decided on this one and got it for a bargain. love it!
