Vaal River Holiday..

After Christmas, we headed to Rustenburg to spend time with Rein's dad.

We stayed there a day and headed to the Vaal river and stayed there for 3 days.

We basically swam a lot because it is so hot, was on the boat most times and its the most beautiful scenery, as well as very quite...

I got to drive the boat! Was quite awesome to do that!

The scenery is pretty cool. God is amazing....

My husband helping  me a little, I think his more scared if me crashing lol.

Caught this huge fish. There was a lot of fishing  to do.

Tanning in the awesome sun on the river, it is seriously peaceful and beautiful around you. Some quiet time

This is what the car looked like when we got home. There was so much rain and mud on the farm. Lol we did some 4x4 wheeling.

We decided to open up our presents night before Christmas, and we had so much fun, it was funny because this year bought my parents gift from Cape Town, so their bags where filled with adventure. And we got a new addition to my cooking experience in the kitchen, and my husband got new pillows, yes pillows, cause very night I hear him moaning about the pillows. lol so sweet.

Christmas Day.

So I had my special candles from Swaziland especially for the table, and nice Xmas table runner. I had this table painted white for the day. I had Xmas hats on each chair for everyone to wear.

My Table, outside in the beautiful SA weather. We had a pretty day....

My table decorations with the candles, crackers and glasses and chocolate balls...

I made special welcoming cocktails, they were very refreshing for this hot day. This is my cocktail recipe, would like to keep this documented, I finally found it again on the net after loosing it for years, and now I finally wrote it in my personal recipe book.

Caipirinha Cocktails

2 small limes cut into quarters
40ml sugar syrup (this is 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup water dissolved on stove top and left to cool)
40ml White rum (I used bicardi)
Add ice, fill up with Sprite Zero.

Ta Da! Everybody loved it.

I made pampoen poffertjies, and so much more, my mom also made food and we made one big feast.

Honeymoon day 7 - 9 Swaziland

I didn't take much photo's during this time as there is not much to do. I did pray a lot about marriage and our life forward. I did get some prophetic words and not going to share them, but did get some beautiful points from God that I would like to share with everyone, maybe someone is in need of these verses.

Just before Me and Reino got Married, our best friends, Monique and Bernard, arranged a evening with some of our amazing team from our church to pray over us. They all prayed and gave us the most amazing words, how we as a couple are going to be good examples for others, how we going to change people's lives, how we always going to be content and happy, they even described a part where Reino is the farmer, and I have this little house on the farm and I am working in the garden and we so happy, so beautiful image God has created for us. We are going to try our best to do this, set an good example for other people and pray a lot to see what God has in hold for us, it is something BIG and we can't wait.

I started writing some points down in my personal journal and will be doing a follow up blog about what is important to follow in marriage.....

Basically from day 7 - 9, we were just chilling, lying in the sun, swimming and so on...

I had this wierd intention that came over me, and that was cutting my hair off, was soooo hot and tired of my long hair and I love it!
